D.C. Douglas is the voice over talent who is best known for his work on the GEICO commercials. Well, one night after a few drinks, Douglas decided to call Freedom Works and give them a piece of his mind. Although his remarks were confrontational he was non-threatening and polite the whole time. He was simply asking them if a corporatist front-group (such as Freedom Works) would take any responsibility for any possible violence that may result from stoking right-wing fears, anger and resentment. Well, instead of taking it on the chin or ignoring the voice mail all together, Freedom Works made a concerted effort to ruin this individual who was merely expressing his point of view albeit in a funny, off-color and passive aggressive sort of way. In the end, Freedom Works did make  GEICO cave and they fired their highly recognizable voice talent.  Instead of wallowing in self-pity or defeat, DC Douglas made this hilarious PSA to remind people of the corporate shillery and hackery that underlies Freedom Works and feeds much of the so-called right-wing populism.
