MTV has received a lot of flack for its show “Jersey Shore.” Italian American Advocacy groups claim the show portrays them  as “Guidos.”  Though there is no formal definition of what a Guido is, some claim it is pretty much the N-word for Italians. The outrage from the Italian community has been so great that the issue made its way to a Time’s article and one of the shows sponsors Dominoes pulled its ads. I honestly don’t see what the big deal is. It is hilarious in a way that  almost seems self-deprecating. Where else would you be guaranteed to see a bar hopping teacher hit a girl half his size?
